At ASTAR Training Institute we understand that it may be over whelming when thinking of travelling to another country to study. With that in mind we have created a pre-arrival checklist which may assist you in understanding your responsibilities and hopefully make the transition to Australia a more practicable experience. Before you depart your country please take the minute to read and refer to this checklist.
International Student Pre-arrival Checklist
In accordance with 9-13 of the National Code 2007, ASTAR Training Pty Ltd all students are expected to have reached an acceptable level of proficiency in the English language. International students need an IELTS level of 5.5 or higher or have completed an approved English Test and provide the appropriate paperwork to the Institute. The IELTS provided must have been taken no more than two years before the time of the application. Overseas students must also be aged 18 or above at the time of enrolment.
ASTAR Training Institute are also able to conduct an LLN Test and then determine whether the student is deemed competent.
We currently offer the following courses:
As an overseas student on a student visa you are legally required to provide evidence of maintaining approved OSHC while studying in Australia. When you have been accepted into a course of study at ASTAR Training Institute, and you have paid your tuition deposit you will be issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). It is your (the students) responsibility to apply for OSHC.

Prior to course commencement the student will be required to pay a $500 enrolment fee (which is taken off the course amount) plus the first installment.
